Warmer today..

Up early as usual and busying ourselves around the house.  Chum Julie arrived, allowing me to drive to Pam's office and send docs to places to which they needed to be sent...

Post the lovely Julie's visit, we enjoyed a couple of catch up episodes of "Miranda" and I made lunch for Pam...

She was a little tired post this and went to bed for a snooze.  I made a few phonecalls to hospital, doctor etc and organised more drugs...

Pam has moved up the list re being admitted which was good news...

Chum Lesley arrived around 3 and I took a walk in the crisp late afternoon to the medical centre to pick up the repeat prescription...

Then to the chemist to have it filled - whilst waiting, I was approached by at least three schoolchildren asking me to buy them cigarettes - I declined the requests...

Walked back with a pocketful of drugs as the sun set over Hemel...

The beast was about its business...

Lesley went home and we just spent some time relaxing before I cooked dinner...

Chum Debs stopped by and we had an entertaining blether about Pam and Debs' adventures over the years and contemplated setting Debs up with a suitable man...

Then Debs had to go off to get some work done...

Later, she popped me a couple of pics of her wee cat Murphy - looks just like Meg but with yellow rather than green eyes - and is considerably younger...

Calls to home - we both spoke with Anne and Pam also called mum and sister Sheila - Pam's demeanour on the phone must have buoyed them - her spirits are very good...

Lesley returned and we all watched the hour long live "Coronation St" - and all shed a wee tear re butcher Ashley's sad demise...

Meanwhile John Stape's situation, despite the inherrent tragedy, provided some comedy gold...

I called Annie again and left the ladies to have a "good old chat" as they call it down here...

After Lesley left, me and Pam stayed up till midnight listening to her music collection on shuffleplay - she really enjoyed hearing loads of old tracks and we surfed the net for irrelevant facts on artists...

So, despite everything, a good day all in all...

Highlight of the Day : Moving up the list...

Thanks Moira - am a wee bit out of my delth here re the cooking - don't have any recipe books here and, for some reason, Pam has none!!

Might get a recipe off the net and try something.

Keep stopping by and e-mail me anytime to hear how we are doing

Love to you and Lex from us both

This might provide some inspiration...there's another one called mydish which lets you add all the ingredients directly to your tesco shopping list which might save a bit of effort!

Just thinking about blast from the past tracks. Tell Pam I always associate Bruce Springsteen with her and dancing round her bedroom!

Pam advises she remembers the Springsteen episode

Going to try the old Leek & Pancetta Risotto perhaps

Have found a pic of the page of the recipe book and, elsewhere, pics of the process - http://crispycat-recordings.blogspot.com/2010/02/playlist-sumner-mckane-north-sumner.html
