A visit first thing this morning from Suzanne with her girls, Olivia and Megan...

Pam is absolutely determined to see them grow up!

while Pam and Suzanne chatted and the kids coloured in the colouring books, I made a trip to Tesco and bought provisions...

Blue skies over Hemel as I took Pam's car from her garage...

Post my return, Suzanne and the girls' leaving and the filling of the cupboards, chum Lesley arrived for more chat, as I called home to mum and sister Sheila - we are trying to organise a visit next weekend - several factors are conspiring against this but we are determined to get through them...

What is now becoming a regular afternoon nap for Pam followed...

As Debs arrived for more chat, I realised I'd been overcharged at Tesco due to a child in front of me in the queue asking the price of a toy, the assistant scanning said toy, advising said child of the price and then adding the toy to my bill...

So, leaving Pam and Debs, I drove back to Tesco and they very kindly reimbursed me.  I remembered I'd forgotten on the previous visit to obtain Lemon Sherbets as requested by pam last night...

I found the space they ought to have filled but there were none to be seen - Cola Cubes were obtained instead...

As I exited, I noted a missed call from Debbie - calling back I was advised the hospital had called and Pam was to be admitted tonight...

I rushed home to find Julie now also there, along with her daughter and, between the five of us, we sorted out what we were going to do - taking Pam's boss, Vipel, up on his offer from yesterday of a chauffeur driven car to the Royal Free...

The girls left me and Pam to get ready and I cooked tea and we watched a bit of "Strictly" and mind-numbingly loud "X Factor" then the car arrived...

The driver was great, chatting away and keeping Pam's mind off of things - turned out he's been driving for people at Pam's company for 25 years and has known Pam to say "hello" to for almost as long...

We drove up to the Royal Free at Hampstead...

...and I took Pam to her ward and made sure she was settled in nicely before I left...

She had immediately struck up a rapport with the lady in the next bed, swapping brain stories - typical Pam!

I was driven back to Hemel and called the hospital around 11 to make sure she was ok and to make arrangements for me to be there with her tomorrow when they finally reveal the facts of the situation - something which I don't want her to face on her own...

So, great that's she's finally "in" and that she will be operated on on Monday but still some tough, tough times to go through...

Highlight of the Day : Pam in...

Just spent most of today (Sun) with her and she is ready for the op tomorrow (Mon), spirits up.

Most of our time spent laughing and joking.

Will pass on your best.

Pam has been made so much stronger by all the messages of love and support.

Hi, Glad things are moving along. Hoping for a good outcome tomorrow and keeping everything crossed. Sent a card on Saturday. Hope it arrives tomorrow. That would be good timing. Moira
