Up super early to get the podcast done...

Brealkfast at home with the radio and then, a quick listen to some Harold Land...

...from this box of goodies...

Out and to Anne's mum's...

...for chat, coffee and biscuits and halves of chocolate éclairs...

The view from her window...

Jane arrived too...

The ladies...

We'd agreed earlier in the week that, artehr than a takeaway tonight, I would cook...

So, we drove to Lidl at Broxburn for me to get ingredients (I failed on a couple due to lack of stock) but the reason for Broxburn was the proximity of the Union Canal to the shop...

Sandwiches were enjoyed at the waterside...

Hmmm...

A call from sister Sheila - mum apparently not well..

Stroll cut short...

Dropped Anne home and headed out to Loanhead around 2...

Sheila was there - mum turned out to be fine - in fact she was actually less unwell than she usually complains of being...

Nonetheless I sent Sheila off and waited for the district nurse to arrive...

Dressings were changed, advice was given, reassurance was given and off the nice young lady went...

I was home just before five, having picked up the missing ingredients on the way...

And so, I cooked - chicken on creamy leeks...

It actually turned out pretty well - much to our surprise...

Another Saturday evening of good food, "Deutschland 89" and "Vera" ensued...

Highlight of the Day : Cooking...successfully...

Up...

...and realised I'd accidently uploaded the wrong versions of some of the bonus tracks for the new album...

Sorted - I left the others up - it was a version with vinyl surface noise overlaid - it is now the "record Store Day" version...

Sorted and released at 8am as planned...

By three or four am this morning, with sales coming in from America, this was possibly my best release day yet...

Scenes...

The sun came up...

Anne left for a Pentlands walk with Lynn - I awaited Blair, CDS having been moved first thing...

...and chaos in the back room having been created...

These needed to be de-assembled and new "separating bits" added back...

I WFH'd and popped back and forth to help out the arrived at 10am Blair...

By 11, we'd finished...

CDs restored...

Lunch was the best veggie burgers in the world ever - plus, of course, beans...

Yowsah...

In the afternoon, some Michael Nyman...

I was annoyed that the booklet was missing and was searching around the net trying to find it to read...

I suddenly realised it wasn't in the sleeve because I'd put it on the end of the box to indicate the box's content...

Idiot...

Some music from Dresden also enjoyed - randomly pulled from another box..

Anne returned having enjoyed a top notch hill climb etc etc - sunburned face could be seen from the wee room as I looked out on her later in the garden...

She had brought back raisins!

...enjoyed with coffees...

Later, a top notch tea followed all other top notchness of the day so far...

As predicted, big changes to the running order for the podcast, the first half of which was recorded tonight before hitting the hay at midnight...

A good day...

Highlight of the Day : People liking my music...and everything else too...

Up late again...

It was April 1st and I was recalling that time back in May 2015 when Anton Corbjin's portrait of me appeared in a gallery in The Hague...

Many people on Twitter "liked" this and congratulated me...

I reminded them it was April 1...

Anyway...

Fang visited and stayed for a good few hours...

He was too tired to bother about the squirrel today...

...about which, the squirrel looked particularly pleased...

Fishcakes for tea - Anne's replaced my bean choice with a poached egg...

The scene this evening as the upload and notes etc for the new LP was finally finalised (or so I thought...

Sack hit...

Highlight of the Day : Fang hanging around...New LP ready...
