Sunday but no rest for the wicked...

Up early and researching packaging scenarios for the new collection - a difficult task given the full version is envisaged as a set of 24 CDs and a book...

I'm also seeing 4CD, 2CD and 1CD versions though...

each will carry different 10, 6 or 3 minute details of each of the twenty four tracks...

The full 15 hours or so of material created for the project will only be on the 24 CD set version...

Over the last week or so, I've been getting used to the 4CD 10 minute details set...

Early days though...

It could all amount to nothing...

Two coffees and to work...

Meg the Black Cat was helping...

...in between telling me just how much destroying of the new leather suite she'd been doing downstairs during the night...

Spent some time listening to field recordings with a view to possible additions to what I have "in the can" thus far...

Breakfast at home after collecting croissants, along with rolls for lunch post more work...

Also today, downloaded the software for the Virtual ANS Synthesiser - as recommended by chum Peri Urban the other day...

Interesting stuff - another possible project...

After lunch, shopping for various furnishing type things and a visit to my mum - doing well but frets so easily about the smallest things, always imagining the worst will happen...

Home and the fifth of six episodes of "By Any Means" - all watched this week I think - plus episode two of the very strange but reasonably entertaining "Toast of London"...

Back to the computer post a craving relieving home made toastie for tea...

A couple of things now winging their way to Crispycat Towers for some prototyping...

Weekend over...

Despite a late night, up early and updating this...

The sun was rising over the houses opposite my window...

Two hours later, out into the morning...

Cold...

A walk into town - cat's eye view - down the hill...

...along the road...

...enjoying the leaves...

..and taking the time to record the ephemeral beasts...

..some solo...

...some in piles...

Down to the main road...

..along by the zoo...

The berries from two weeks ago were still there...

...past the strange house...

...and along to Helen the podiatrist's...

...onward past the spot from where I often take a bus home...

..past the no longer school for the deaf...

...to Haymarket after one hour's walk...

A little ahead of time, I slowed to a saunter...

On through Charlotte Square...

...along George St, noting the castle...

...through St Andrew Square...

..and to Artisan Roast on Broughton St to meet up with Count Brodski...

Coffees, then, to the record fair - a new dealer was disposing of his collection - he advised he was of an age at which he'd decided to make copies of the best stuff and sell it off - we both partook heartily, commiserating and empathising as we did...

We both agreed it was a little like looking at part of our own collections such was this man's taste in music...

A lift home through the rain...

I'd even bought an LP I used to have before I sold my own collection via our shop, now over 20 years ago...

With Anne off to see Hearts lose yet again (while Queens unexpectedly progressed in the Scottish Cup by beating top and only once beaten before today team in our league, Hamilton), I downloaded an MP3 version of the LP...

Ripped the rest of today's purchases during the afternoon...

In the evening, a curry and "Strictly" - then a couple of episodes of "By Any Means" and the latest in "Man Down"...

A final update of this and another Saturday bites the dust...

Right you two...

Highlight of the Day : A good haul at the record fair...

Various - Time Machine  A Vertigo Retrospective
Lou Reed - The Blue Mask

Meg the Black Cat was kind of helping me this morning as I uploaded some pics...

In the evening, a meet with the Exec Producer for drinks at Iglu and the Stockbridge Tap...

..before heading over the road to Buffalo Grill for a celebration re catsitter Joan (sister of Anne's best friend Lynn)'s 50th birthday...

Lynn, Ross, sons Scott and Stuart, Lynn & Joan's sister Sheila and boyfriend Tim plus us and the aforementioned birthday girl in attendance...

The beast and the birthday girl...

...the latter also appearing on a cake...

Wasn't Halloween yesterday?

Aaargh!

Drinks afterwards into the wee small hours, not in the Stockbridge Tap (who would not serve the boys without ID) but in the Antiquary - with good music in the background and a selection of entertaining but unpictured dogs...

Home in a taxi rather the worse for wear, to find CDs arrived by Lou Reed and Shiver...

Lou quickly ripped and I think I heard the first song before conking out...

Highlight of the Day : Birthday celebration...
