Despite a late night, up early and updating this...

The sun was rising over the houses opposite my window...

Two hours later, out into the morning...

Cold...

A walk into town - cat's eye view - down the hill...

...along the road...

...enjoying the leaves...

..and taking the time to record the ephemeral beasts...

..some solo...

...some in piles...

Down to the main road...

..along by the zoo...

The berries from two weeks ago were still there...

...past the strange house...

...and along to Helen the podiatrist's...

...onward past the spot from where I often take a bus home...

..past the no longer school for the deaf...

...to Haymarket after one hour's walk...

A little ahead of time, I slowed to a saunter...

On through Charlotte Square...

...along George St, noting the castle...

...through St Andrew Square...

..and to Artisan Roast on Broughton St to meet up with Count Brodski...

Coffees, then, to the record fair - a new dealer was disposing of his collection - he advised he was of an age at which he'd decided to make copies of the best stuff and sell it off - we both partook heartily, commiserating and empathising as we did...

We both agreed it was a little like looking at part of our own collections such was this man's taste in music...

A lift home through the rain...

I'd even bought an LP I used to have before I sold my own collection via our shop, now over 20 years ago...

With Anne off to see Hearts lose yet again (while Queens unexpectedly progressed in the Scottish Cup by beating top and only once beaten before today team in our league, Hamilton), I downloaded an MP3 version of the LP...

Ripped the rest of today's purchases during the afternoon...

In the evening, a curry and "Strictly" - then a couple of episodes of "By Any Means" and the latest in "Man Down"...

A final update of this and another Saturday bites the dust...

Right you two...

Highlight of the Day : A good haul at the record fair...
