Collating stuff no-one will ever see...

Playlist
Cloudland Blue Quartet - Twenty Four Paintings
The Velvet Underground - 1969 - The Velvet Underground Live
The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground & Nico

Early into town and chat with a star fund manager - it's what needs to be done to fund the music...

At lunch time a walk to Fopp...

Spent some time considering their plethora of out of copyright 4CD collections of 6, 7 or 8 albums by jazz stars of the late fifties and early sixties...

Swithered over Harold Land...

Also swithered over the new Roy Harper and Mogwai in the two for £15 deal...

However, nothing partaken of - not even a £2 Lambchop second hander...

This because I kind of knew that, on returning home, a wee package would be waiting...

And indeed it was..

Containing these two brand new sealed beauties...

I originally had them on vinyl as a double LP and then I bought them both on CD in 1991...

...but they were sacrificed into the Reptile Records shop stock and snapped up by a lucky buyer...

Now they have returned and, post a very tasty indeed home made Lamb Rogan Josh from the Exec Producer, some lovely red wine and some "Big Bang", new and reruns, they were very much enjoyed full blast upstairs...

Now that's what I call a Friday night...

That and, having finally, thanks to the help of Webmeister/Creeker Craig and unmentioned last night, regained access to the Crispycat website for the first time since May (MAY!! No-one's even noticed as far as I can see) MAY!!! - I have spent some time collating things to add to it...

This is how I waste my time...

And, "Man Down" starring Greg Davies (with Rik Mayall as his mad dad) - an almost unfathomably stupid show which, this evening featured the funniest comedy moment of the week...

And then - jeez oh, take a look at this...

Looking back through this to record music related action since May, what did I find on 26 June?

On our visit to Barter Books in Alnwick, I bought a copy of Herbert Read's "A Concise History of Modern Painting"...

And then on 11 October...

On our visit to Barter Books in Alnwick, I bought a copy of Herbert Read's "A Concise History of Modern Painting"...

It seems there's no difference between them, other than one was re-printed in 1986 (costing £3.60) and the other in 1988 (costing £4.60)...

Your correspondent is an idiot...

Highlight of the Day : New old Velvets...
