Opinions can be divided on so many things...

Playlist

A busy Friday started with a plethora of downloading for New Music Friday (see below)...

Once more under treated skies...

Three hours later, breakfast enjoyed...

...at Vigo with chum Prog Rock Willie...

...after which we took a bus into town to Assai Records behind the Usher Hall...

Willie bought a shed load of vinyl - I swithered about some £3 CDs but took nothing...

On Sunday night, I did, however, download these two from the eight considered - after having sampled the music of course...

Then, a walk down to Fopp...

I considered this re its producer - again, I passed but nabbed on Sunday, post a listen...

Again, a shed load of vinyl for Willie, while I splashed out on these, the first four of which I already have as downloads...

But I was under Willie's "spend some money on physical music" spell...

Round to my old/Willie's current office and chat with old chums Gaz, Luke, Ali, Kris, Christine and young Logan from last night...

Farewells said as Willie headed off to pick up his serviced car...

I took a bus along to Dalry and picked up a few more things, bringing the average outlay down somewhat, from £6 per title to £4.62...

Checked out the restaurant we will visit in two weeks' time for a birthday lunch for Gaz and Janine...

...and a very unlikely indeed to be chosen possible drinks venue, post meal...

Then, a tram down to Leith...

Another thing bought - average reduced again to £4.22...

Possible tables spotted and relayed to Anne...

A tram back to Haymarket and into the Mad Hatter to wait for Bernie and Gary re an evening of research on the two weeks' hence drinks scenario...

Onwards to the Hebrides...

...then, The Jolly Botanist...

...and into the Bluerapa Thai, next to the Mad hatter - but only after a detour for wine supplies, having noticed it was a BYOB situation...

The food was superb (although, later this evening and early tomorrow morning, Anne would dispute this re the Thai based aromas emanating from my person!!)...

At the table next to us, some teachers on a night out - the main man of whom was a rampant SNP supporter - it did not make for good between table banter...

The mains were also superb (but, again, see Anne's view above)...

...and the wine went down nicely...

Bernie headed into the night, much the worse for wear as Gary and I enjoyed one more half at the Haymarket bar...

A bus to the zoo and a pick up form Anne...

Home and various stories were relayed - of course, all of Anne's to me had to be re-asked about tomorrow morning....

A good day nonetheless...

Highlight of the Day : Out all day...
