Some work first thing on things...
...and listening via the not worn too often Betrons...
Dr Prog expressed an interest in them...
All too soon the morning was away...
So, we decided to go out for a walk...
I only really like a walk if we are actually going somewhere, so, we parked about a mile away form Stockbridge and walked in...
A lovely day...
We walked all the way through the "village" and ended at old haunt, Patisserie Florentin...
...where coffee and cake were very much enjoyed...
The, the walk back...
...which involved a stop at the BHF shop...
Some things were found...
Beethoven's piano trios...
..of which I previously had merely one...
Bach piano transcriptions...
...of which, I had none, despite having this big box...
Some Taverner and 12th Century music by Anonymous 4 and the Chillingirian Quartet...
Anonymous 4 feature on this CD from around 30 years ago - always a fave but not listened for a good while...
...and this is a good 2CD set form the Chillingirians...
As for Taverner, I have these...
Then, the piece de resistance - I nearly missed it - only spotted it by chance as I looked back at the CD section while heading to the till...
I have had a burn of Dr Prog's set of these for probably over 20 years - now, for 15 quid, I have the originals...
Some time spent listening in the back room, pre ripping...
...and, later tonight, discovered a new LP by the second Madredeus lead vocalist...
Nice...
Now that's what I call a Tuesday...
Highlight of the Day : Out for a walk...
