Up before six..

To enjoy the new Eno LP...

The headphones bought in September 2021 have finally bitten the dust...

£11 well spent though...

The Phillips ones had been waiting, still sealed, since March 2021, to be brought into service

I can advise they are crap...

£7.80 down the pan...

I can advise a pair of "Juku" buds is now my bedtime choice...

No idea where they came from...

Ah, wait, research indicates they were once sold by HMV but have been discontinued...

Probably £3.99 well spent...

Luna agrees...

This afternoon, with Anne out for a slap up Indian at Tuk Tuk with Chris with a CH, Stu Cobley popped by to return the steamer...

Looking good...

Every spare moment he's had since exiting the band has bee used re the upgrade of his recently purchased house in that Penicuik...

I played him some of the "Live Suite"...

Funny how something which you think is good when listening on your own, raises severe doubts as to what you're doing, when aired in front of someone else...

Oh well...

Onwards...

I was set to meet up with Malcolm in Balerno for Makossa and a discussion re the proposed gig but the band cancelled...

And so, this evening, a wee bit of last night of the Proms...

...and, on Twitter, a tweet by Nashville chum, Chris, directing people to Rheostatics singing "Claire" on Canadian TV, back in July 1994, reminded me that, around a month later, Dave Bidini popped into Reptile Records and gave me a CD which remains a fave to this day and started me on a Rheos journey which eventually led to a Canadian trip in 2015...

In Dave's book, "Around the World in 57.5 Gigs", he described his visit - and the fact that I introduced him to the music of The Move and Loudon Wainwright III...

A fair swap...

And so, to bed with the aforementioned CD in the cans...

Highlight of the Day : A visit from Stu...
