The day started just before 7...

No one told the laptop though - reboot required for some reason...

And off we went...

Some work first thing on an idea re the "Dark Side of the Moon" variations...

We'll see...

Then, prepping the back room for Impossible John's arrival...

Right on time at 10:30 and we were set for an acoustic session...

Prior to that though, and prior to Anne heading out to meet Debbie for a lunch at Hamilton's and a visit to the Botanics, there was coffee and chat - including re the new Impossible Kittens, Zippy, Bungle and George...

Aw...

Then, to business...

3 hrs 15 mins of playing, 37 of 38 songs covered...

We thought we hadn't played "Boys Keep Swinging" and so did it at the end - turned out though, it was "Ashes to Ashes" we'd forgotten and "Boys Keep Swinging" had, in fact, been the first song we'd done...

Oh well...

And then, lunch...

...and more chat - about the band and the background etc etc...

Post John's exit around 3:30, I set about editing the recordings...

We had recorded with just one mic picking up the room, so the quality was not great - and, of course, it was in mono...

I tried to sort this by adding some bass, splitting the file to right and left and putting the elements very, very slightly out of sync, for artificial stereo, and added reverb...

Around 2 hours of material remained post the edit... 

A call from Anne requiring a lift and taxi service was duly provided...

Back home and a late baked potato - accompanied by some of the "new" songs from today's session...

Luna was, of course, mucking about...

Despite Luna trying to divert my attention, i found the mix unsatisfying and I realised, too, I'd left a few errors in...

So, post episode two of "The Following is Based on a Pack of Lies", back to the machines and redid the whole thing, abandoning the artificial stereo, cutting back on the reverb and taking out the errors...

Much better and a link provided to my quartet of musical colleagues...

Last thing, partook of a few new things from Bandcamp but to bed before sampling...
