There was cake - a piece brought home for the EP post a better than the last time rehearsal...
With the possible Balerno gig in mind, we concentrated on the work of Bowie, Reed, Roxy and Eno (including songs covered by Bowie & Ferry) which made for a 70 minute set - including our first play of "Sister Ray", the lyrics and chords to which I quickly printed out just before I left this morning...
Home at 1:30, then, out again, picking Anne's mum up..
91 today for Mary...
We arrived at Keith and Maureen's in good time...
Jackson the neighbourhood cat greeted us...
...he is popular with young Lily, despite having bitten Maureen recently, prompting a hospital visit...
Anyway, birthday celebrations commenced...
...with Lily the centre of attention...
There was more cake (post a lovely home made but unpictured lasagne)...
...and candle blowing out...
...followed by more chat and mucking about with Lily...
...and there was footie on Craig's laptop - Hearts v Hibs (women's version) - 1-0 Hibs, much to Blair's delight...
Home with Mary to hers, then, on to ours, where very small snails greeted us at the door...
Edited and sent out today's session to the band...
At the time of writing (Tuesday morning) none of them has yet downloaded it...
Which is very slightly annoying...
