Monday again and we are heading to the end of the 15th year of this nonsense but I cannot stop...

Breakfast...

The view at the back door as I left for the day...

...and headed down the hill...

Young chum Gina G is just back from Qatar with her mum and dad - she brought me a souvenir...

Two purchases at lunchtime in the BHF, a Ride Box Set for a fiver which is selling on Amazon for very silly money indeed.  The lowest price is £35, the highest over £200...

Also, a 2CD anthology of The Damned...

Which led me to listen to Ride and The Damned following on from Roussell's 2nd symphony...

Home...through the dark...

...to lovely aromas...

Anne had been out and about today, purchasing provisions and items of interest...

Mmm, new shoes...

A super casserole re purchased provisions was being prepped...

Accompanied by Michael Portillo and The One Show, we waited for the readiness to arrive...

And arrive it did...

Very tasty indeed....

...followed by coffee from the new big coffee making thingamabob...

As Anne watched "Corrie" I headed upstairs to rip the new acquisitions - which now included the 3CD arrival by post, DG's "50 Piano Masterworks"...

Only half way through when called down for university Challenge - We managed to beat the Cortauld Institute into 3rd place...

Re the piano music, it struck me that, for a band to really be considered "prog", they must have a keyboard player who can play the piano like a classical pianist - and then take that talent even further than a classical pianist might...

That comment on Twitter caused followers "prog" band Dreadnought to get me to listen to their LP - and, lo, it was good - which then led me to Sydney's We Lost the Sea (by whom I have something already) which in turn led me to another Australian outfit, their buddies, Tangled Thoughts of Leaving, from Perth (hah! By whom I also already have something)...

And this is how you discover new music - if you are me - someone who loathes the radio but who records his own 2 hour radio show every week but...

I cannot stop...

Highlight of the Day : Being unable to stop...
