There was a chance we'd be at five-a-sides chum Nigel's barbecue today but I'd pulled out of that on the basis we'd be visiting my mum post her release on Friday, which, of course, became a re-admittance scenario as detailed here on Friday's entry...

We'd been due to meet up with nephew Ali and Fiance Julie at mum's for lunch but that too was now postponed...

On top of that, Mr Paul Reynolds was due round at some point to try out his keyboard parts for the Capital Models covers set...

Last night that had been set for around two...

Some prep was required - I had to split up the single 67 minute MP3 of the set to allow us to start and stop individual songs - then spent some time rehearsing my own guitar parts...

Lunch at home before Paul arrived and some good chat pre the playing, which went well...

...and post the playing too, before he headed of into the hot early evening...

Meanwhile, there'd been a robbery by an unidentified cat, which had come in through the kitchen window...

Goodie drops pilfered...

Stuff knocked over, rolls stepped on...

May have been wee Vince from over the back...

Very tasty home made burgers for tea, so kind of a barbecue after all...

In the evening, some judicious editing of Paul's keyboard parts, which I'd recorded separately from the backing tracks we were using...

...followed by a mix with the rest of the band playing two weeks ago, to create a Capital Models quintet for the first time in a long time...

And then a listen back pre bed...
