Down to the river to check out boat trip times...
..and, with plans made, into the town...
New turquoise bag for the Pennster...
Dillinger still shut...
A Sandra CD for your correspondent - desperate times indeed...
Back to the river for a one hour round trip up and down the river...
The Airforce returned...
Anne was relaxed...
Barges sailed past us...
This house had a seaplane...
..and a boat and a lighthouse...
The castle looked fine...
..as did the steeple on the other bank...
We lived by this bridge during our last visit in 2007 for Documenta 12...
Chocolate was enjoyed...
As were the views...
...and coveted houses...
Back to shore in front of our erstwhile hotel...
Back into town for a light lunch...
...followed by wine for my compadres and grape juice for the driver...
Then, our final kaffee und kuchen of the trip...
The staff of Cafe Hansen re-enacted the last supper a couple of years back...
One last look at the old buildings...
..a trip to the petrol station to fill up, then a drive back to the airport...
...and an uneventful 100 minute flight home...
...to the cold and rain of Edinburgh...
Meg the Black cat awaited our return...
...the dOCUMENTA bags were emptied...
...and a great trip was brought to a close...
