Sounds that could be made and were...

Playlist
Brian Eno - Drums Between the Bells
Schoenberg - String Quartets
Heinichen - Concerti Grandi
Various - Albums of the Month
Far East Family Band - Parallel
Pilgrimage - 9 Songs of Ecstasy
Marillion - Discography

Up early and in the back room listening to a Schoenberg String Quartet for the first 40 minutes of the day...

Everyone knows what they were doing 11 years ago...

Doesn't seem that long ago really...

David Heinichen's sublime Concerti Grandi accompanied a nice breakfast with Anne...

Out for a drive today...

Over the Lammermuir Hills...

...past Whiteadder Reservoir...

...and on to the little town of Duns...

...where we stopped in at "Tea Boutique", Fantoosh...

...for some tasty hot chocolate/coffee and apple scone/caramel cake...

We had planned on visiting nearby Manderston House but were advised by the ladies at Fantoosh that it's only open Thursdays and Sundays...

However, we were only a 20 minute drive from Berwick Upon Tweed so popped over the border...

A new jacket for Anne re some upcoming walking scenarios with chums, while I found a couple of CDs in a charity shop trawl - which were deemed rubbish by Anne and not allowed on the in car sound system...

We took to the walls and bastions of the town...

It was a wee bit windy...

...but the views were good...

This was on one side of the fortifications...

...this on the other...

Then, it was time to head back...

...leaving the ramparts to this seagull...

We drove straight back up the A1...

In the evening, following communication with Dr Prog, I found myself at the HMV Picture House with him, for an excellent two and a half hour performance by Marillion - my first ever viewing of a live concert by this, one of my fave bands (I have all their albums don't you know)...

A big thumbs up - with the 40 minutes or so (4 songs) from their new album being the high point for me...

Home to bed after another busy day...

Highlight of the Dau : Out and about with Annie and finally seeing Marillion live...
