Our target this morning was the Funkturm, built in the 1920's...

Their foodhall was interesting but a little beyond our budget...
Opposite it, outside the S Bahn, a sign asking that these places of terror never be allowed to be forgotten...
Over the square to the food market and less pricey sustenance procured...
Into City Music and another CD purchased...
While we browsed, the sun came out...

Then, to the palace...
It was completely flattened in World War II and has been rebuilt from scratch - amazing...

Back home and, this evening, over the road to the Thai place, directly opposite our front door, for a tasty curry...
...before jumping on the U Bahn back to Unter den Linden and the Brandenburg Gate, this time in the dark...
We walked back to the Gendarmenmarkt too and, once again, enjoyed the two cathedrals and the concert hall...
...before heading home...
