...and out at 6:35...
Carrefour was shut...
We let the No 4 go past...
...and took the No 1...
...to Opera...
Breakfasted at Panos...
..and then to the station...
...and our train to the airport at 7:45...
...via Berchem one last time...
...and Mechelen...
Through security by 9...
...and waiting...
To the gate at 10:20...
And boarding at 10:40 - all going according to plan...
5 minutes later, in our seats...
...but a delay due to air traffic...
...meant we were around 20 minutes late in taking off...
75 minutes later, we were in Edinburgh...
Of course, passport control took over 30 minutes - then an airport bus...
...to the foot of the hill and the trundle up...
Home - 7 hours door to door - an hour less than the outward journey - mainly due to our long walk from Antwerp station to the apartment and, of course, the post-Brexit mess at Belgian passport control...
At 1, systems set up again...
An afternoon and evening spent catching up on stuff and watching some TV ("Have I got News For You", "Taskmaster", "Leverage" etc etc)...
And putting together the bonus packages for the Edward Spark purchasers...
Bed around 11...
A very good trip indeed - but, as always, good to be home...
