CDs, brunch and chocolate and home...

Playlist

Awake at 6:25 and up...

At 9, out, solo, the kids still sleeping...

Through Gateshead once more...

...and over the bridge...

...past the castle...

..and the cathedral...

...and through the Bigg Market, past the Bee Hive...

...to Reflex Records...

...where these were secured for a tenner...

...and other things were left behind...

A stroll around Grainger market...

Then, in one BHF shop, this, still sealed, for £3...

...while, in another, with a different pricing policy it seemed, these five for a fiver...

And, finally, along the road at the Sally Army shop, these four for £1 all in...

This, probably the best street in Newcastle for such shops...

In the old days, I would have gone here but, sadly, online music has put it out of business after 112 years of trading 1908-2024...

To the Gray monument...

...and then, a message from Luke - they were on their way over the bridge...

We met up at the Bigg Market and Lucy had found somewhere for brunch, Blakes - on the road that leads down the hill to the river from the monument...

We went in, secured a table, made our order and, it was so busy, the wait was around 40 minutes, but worth it...

Post brunch, we stopped by Knoops chocolate drink shop at the monument and Lucy treated us...

We were serenaded by a young X Factor wannabee.  Chutzpah in the extreme - and pretty good...

To the station with maybe 10 minutes to go before our train...

Sadly, someone had ben hit by an earlier one, up the line at Morpeth so everything going North was being delayed...

We were on Platform 4, waiting, when our train came in to Platform 2 and a wild dash ensued...

The line was clear and the train set off - we were around 30 minutes later than planned...

Due to not having a young person's railcard, I was in a different carriage, travelling solo - someone had left this at my seat - a wee present for Annie...

The view from the office this afternoon...

We were soon at Berwick...

We were soon at Torness...

We were soon at Edinburgh...

We all met up at the top of the stairs and bade our farewells...

A top couple of days indeed...

Up the steps for a 26 home...

...and in the house for 4:30...

Tonight, fish'n'chips, kind of...

...and the start of the ripping and listening...

Highlight of the Day : CDs, brunch and chocolate and home...
