Up at around 6:30 and, there's now a kind of routine that involves updating this - of course I still need to go back and write up all the missing days...

Art views...

Breakfast at home with the EP, involving eggs and tomato...

...before heading out...

The beast had a meeting...

Whilst not WFH but WFO, a call from the EP to advise the internet at Crispycat Towers was down...

I'd received an unbelievable e-mail a couple of weeks ago from TalkTalk (the internet provider not the band) advising they were going to to upgrade us to fibre...

For free...

It seems, on checking my account, our outage was them making this much appreciated change...

Post meeting, I was heading home, when I saw the forlorn face of the waiter at Quattro Zero looking out the restaurant's window and so, rather than grab a sandwich, I popped in for my first penne arabiatta in a very long time..

It was delicious...

Home via buying a card for brother-in-law Andrew's 65th at the end of the month and some stamps and a chocolate brownie for Anne...

Queues were involved...

After walking up the hill and arriving home to WFH for the remainder of the day, I checked the internet speed...

Sure enough, upload time was now ten times faster - however, download speed seemed to be only very slightly higher...

On consulting the message boards at TalkTalk, it seemed the router needed to be switched off for 30 minutes to access a brand new session, which would trigger the new speed...

So, we switched it off...

Of course when you do this, you always think it will never come back....

We cooked some tasty Mexican food and enjoyed that, both sun and rain coming down outside...

Food enjoyed, it was now over 30 minutes since we'd switched off...

We switched on...

It came back...

I checked the speeds...

Three times faster download, ten times faster upload...

Well..

Sometimes, when everything gets a lot faster, it's actually a good thing...

All of sudden now, the upload of my two 25 year celebrating LPs to Bandcamp was a breeze...

I'd spent much of the day listening to these...

By the time Fang came to visit, the last track of the main albums was up - some bonuses for downloaders still to add...

Fang was amazed that out internet had been speeded up for free...

It took a while for the thought to kick in....

Post some Dreamies, he was on his way...

I completed the compilation of the list of LPs which charted in 1982 and which I'd have bought at the time, had money been no object and was I only allowed to buy charting albums...

Only 50 for this year, the lowest number since 1969...

Late on, the third of three "Modern Family" episodes today and off to bed just before midnight...

More gap filling had been attended to (quickly) re downloading, with their being added to iTunes and tagged to be dealt with tomorrow...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Improved connectivity*

*although apparently, there's a 2 week "stabilisation" period, wherein speeds may vary considerably - which is fine I suppose, considering we didn't even ask for the upgrade...
