Started the day as yesterday ended, with the mighty Uriah Heep...

An early rehearsal this morning, out to Roslin for an 11:30 start...

Learning of new songs was today's task...

Much pointing at music sheets and looking confused...

However, Moira and Chloe were on hand to keep us right...

Post rehearsal discussion was accompanied by coffee and lovely tray bake...

A visit to my mum on the way home - doing well - we watched the first half of Aberdeen v Queen of the South, with the sound down - 0-0 at half time...

Not quite as good as Queens' memorable 4-3 win at Hampden in 2008...

Meanwhile, Anne was at Tynecastle, watching Hearts dispatch Auchinleck Talbot 4-0...

To Anne's mum's in time for the last 10 minutes or so of the Queens game - 4-1 the final result, which flattered the Dons...

And, of course, Dobbie had scored an absolute screamer, top left corner, from 35 yards to equalise early in the second half...

Oh well - concentrating on the league again...

There was cake...

...and a candle...

...for Kitty's birthday...

...and nephew Craig made a rare appearance - he will soon be on the radio and the TV...

The place mats were a present to Anne's mum from us from our honeymoon at Konigssee back in 1983...

They are, in places, a little the worse for wear after 35 years...

Back home too late to watch "Endeavour" so something else which I can't recall was enjoyed on the Tivo...

Late on, listening back to today's tapes - they ran out at 55 minutes, by which time we'd worked on precisely two songs...

Slow work...

Highlight of the Day : Dobbie's goal...
