Awoken at just after five by some strange noises from above...
Into the attic - no sign of anything untoward - seemed to be coming from our neighbour's house...
Outside, raining but, again, no sign of anything untoward...
And so, as Anne went back to bed, your correspondent started the day in earnest at...
Much updating of this ensued, along with finishing off and uploading the podcast and downloading of recent LPs...
A meet with Dr Prog was in the offing, so we went uptown early for breakfast at Foundry 39...
A poached egg concoction for the Exec Producer...
...and some tasty porridge for the big man...
Around 11, to a Record Fair to meet up with the Progmeister, while Anne went off to do things she likes...
A few classical titles picked up for £1 a disc and, perhaps foolishly, I even bought some £1 LPs...
Turned out, this last is one of which I still have my original copy from the seventies...
Oh well...
Post fair, at which the Doc also partook of a big bag of classical vocalising, we stopped off at Subway for some lunch and chat - he alerting me to Perfect Beings and me him to Wobbler...
Frank Sinatra, vinyl loving idiots and the evils of streaming were amongst the topics - as was Phil's hard won deal re partial packing in of the work...
A walk to the theatre for today's matinee...
The view from the office this afternoon...
It was here, on 8 August 1974, that me and sister Sheila enjoyed the musical "Lonesome Stone" - about some Jesus loving San Franciscan hippies overcoming police brutality etc etc...
As noted in my diary, I bought the LP for £1.80...
I acquired it again today by chance for £1 and so, here it is back in situ...
What goes around...
Today's show was videoed for a DVD release which eager parents will no doubt snap up...
I'd put together an "intro" playlist of Yes, Golden Earring, The Beatles, Alice Cooper, David Bowie, Elton John, Wings, Grand Funk, Santana and Pink Floyd...
...which played as the audience took their seats...
Bobby and his mum were proud members of said audience...
Once again, no pics allowed - but I can report the show went without a hitch and Kitty was the best, obviously...
My half time playlist comprised tracks by Mott the Hoople, Roxy Music, The Beach Boys, Peter Gabriel and Isaac Hayes - a slight overrun allowed me to introduced the gathered throng to the delights of "Der Mussolini" by Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft...
Act 2 about to start...

Post show, my talented niece gave her verdict, proud mum in the background...
A much appreciated lift home and some records played - Queens even won 1-0 away at Dumbarton...
The Ventures rock and I intend to investigate further...
At six, out again, this time driving through the rain to Loanhead for a pre Mothers' Day outing with my mum...
She had chosen the local Indian Radhuni, having much enjoyed their chicken korma the last time...
She is, of course, also partial to ice cream of any variety...
A successful time...
Home through town and an unexpected pleasure was this, of the CDs bought today...
...as I ripped and filed and compiled etc etc...
28 albums in a day may be too much?
But...for twenty quid?
Not bad...
And so, today's artwork is "A Previously Unknown Pleasure"...

Love the MOOG LP. Play something from it next week. Bet there's a Beatles track on there.
Hi Stu - a track is in the "shortlist" of stuff for the podcast so it'll be along at some point. No Beatles though, all interpretations of classical...
