Some time spent this morning making a start on updating the Excel spreadsheet of the CD collection...
This has not been done since April 2016 - since which time, around 700 CDs have entered the collection...
Breakfast at home and then, a drive to Whitburn and Polkemmet Country Park for a look at some owls, at the Scottish Owl Centre...
Later on we would see Lofty and Zeus in action...
Some owls are very big, some are surprisingly small...
Before the flying display and informative talk on owls, we toured the centre...
There now follows an inordinate number of pictures of owls...
HAving awed and ahh-ed our way around, we made our way to the indoor flying area for a talk on owls, and displays by Lofty and Zeus...
First, Lofty the Barn Owl...
Then, Zeus, the Eagle Owl...
...whose final reward for entertaining the guests, was a whole chick...
Back outside, some smaller owls which we'd missed on our first round were visited...
There were also some non-owls...
...including a couple of Kookaburras (which are large Kingfishers)...
One final owl before we left...
There were also some cows to be seen...
To Linlithgow for lunch...
..at West Port...
A visit to the Oxfam shop resulted in this, shall we say, "challenging" 2CD set entering the collection for just 99 of your English new pence...
A walk around the town and then home...
...for coffee and cake in the garden...
The Exec Producer pointed to one of many flowers which your correspondent will be required to water next week while she enjoys a trip to Italy with bestest chum, Lynn...
An evening of listening and watching and a visit from Fang the Back Cat...
He stayed with us till the end of "Holby" - the writers having inexplicably done for young Jasmine, one of the better characters in a much used "accidental stabbing" story line...
Booo!
Fang was duly forcibly removed from the house as we hit the sack around midnight...
All owled out...
highlight of the Day : Might well have been the owls?

THEY ALL LOOK VERY ANGRY AT BEING KEPT AWAKE! i'M ON THEIR SIDE.
Yes some of them do look a bit angry but owls don't really sleep that much during the day - they tend mostly to just snooze - see this blog post from an owl! http://owls-perch.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/q-do-owls-sleep.html
