Up early and uploading the podcast..

A wee visitor...

Compiling a list of cover versions for a possible themed podcast, suggested by Creeker Stu Cobley...

Just re artists for A-D, I already have 3 hours' worth - could be a series...

Breakfast at home at the dining room table - nice...

Eggs on toast, lashings of coffee - in the "Potsdam cups"...

Decided to ensure all box sets are ripped to iTunes...

Started with jazz and "rock & pop" - by the very end of the day, this was done...

Classical will be a challenge...

This is how I waste my time...

In the afternoon, took Anne to her mum's for the football - disappointing 1-1 draw with Inverness...

Back home, I swithered about starting a new song based LP...

Decided against but the germ of a thought is there...

Of course I don't actually have any songs ready at present, which might be seen by some as a slight drawback - but we'll see...

Picked Anne and Olly up from the football and made our way home, missing the start of Queens v Dundee Utd in the Irn Bru Challenge Cup...

By the time we got home, we'd missed the frst 13 minutes - and Queens were 2-0 down!

Two horrendous defensive errors did for the Doonhamers...

Olly was wearing his lucky QoS strip...

Hmmm...

There's no denying Utd's third goal was a peach though...

3-0 at half time then, and I nipped for an Indian takeaway and, as I returned, Anne headed out for a good night with chum Lynn and her sisters and friends to celebrate sister Sheila's birthday...

Olly and I continued to hope for a comeback from Queens...

A splendid strike from hero Stephen Dobbie five minutes into the second half raised our hopes and it was all Queens but, of course Dundee Utd had their lead...

After various near things, a second goal came in the 90th minute and Queens tried to get an equaliser in the 4 minutes of added on time..

But it wasn't to be...

Despite being the better team over the 90 minutes- they're out, 3-2...

Oh well, just as well it's only a game..

We retired upstairs and had an entertaining rest of the evening, recording links for next week's podcast re a few choices by Olly of records he wanted to hear...

These links plus his music choices constituted around 40 minutes of fun - which I gave him away on a USB stick...

Took the boy home then enjoyed a documentary on the iPlayer - "Great American Rock Anthems - Turn It Up to 11" - very entertaining and featured both Alice Cooper and Grand Funk Railroad...

The latter soundtracked my trip into town to pick up Anne and Lynn, a good time having been had...

Home and played back the "Olly podcast" - the only time the EP has ever listened to any I've done - she declared it a success and likely to be a little more entertaining than my usual fayre...

Which was nice...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Podcasting with my nephew...
