Same old story...

Cloudland Blue Quartet – Track of the Day
“A Nice Job in a Small Town” from “Doveloveshawk” (1999)

Playlist
Cloudland Blue Quartet – Starlightnight Live Version
Field Music – Plumb
Fountains of Wayne – Sky Full of Holes
Various Composers – Romantic Piano Favourites

To Fopp at lunchtime and decided to buy to new releases by groups I like...

Field Music and Fountains of Wayne...

Threw in a 2CD set of piano music...

Pressed the “buy” button on Amazon for five items which have been languishing in my basket for some time now – they are now winging their way towards Crispycat Towers...

Back home under red skies...

...and enjoyed the last three episodes of “Borgen” while we kept one eye on tonight's Scottish Cup replays...

Queens beaten 2-1 by a 92nd minute goal from Aberdeen after coming back from 1-0 down and hitting the bar and Aberdeeen clearing off the line - Hearts winning 2-1 at St Johnstone in extra Time after equalising in injury time...

Ended the night, not with rehearsing and downloading but with writing this up whilst listening to the new acquisitions...

Highlight of the Day : Borgen...

Hi David, good to see what you thought of tthe new Field Music record?

Ive loved their last two (plus the little sideline things) and I must say....this album has left me a bit cold after about 4 or 5 listens.

Hmmm....bit disappointed I am!

You sound like Yoda Ryan!

I thought it to be good if a bit "old-fashioned".

I do admire what they are trying to do and, given my recent listening preferences, it fits right in there.

Fountains of Wayne is good too but much more straight ahead pop and less widdly diddly...
