Up just after 6...

Anne's last night's work has advanced matters re the hare...

Coffee time...

...then editing Robert Fripp at Daryl Hall's house...

Out to Arnold Clark, taking the car for its service...

A call later today to retrieve it, hopefully...

Meanwhile, breakfast, as last year, at Eydon's in Portobello...

Then, securing Rafa the Dog's Xmas present...

...and a look round the town...

...including the purchase of 3 CDs for a quid each at Shelter...

This turned out to be pants...

These two are good however...

A bus to town, Anne alighting at the East End and going in search of things she likes...

I got off at the West End...

...and headed up to Tollcross for a mooch...

I found these, again a quid each, at the Cancer Research shop...

The singer from Swiss new wave band Grauzone...

Now singing in French rather than German...

Another French disc- including a duet with Laura Pausini...

Some Euphonium (my first musical instrument) recordings...

A 2CD set of demos from a not well known but very highly regarded songwriter from the early 70's...

...and two compilations curated by Ben Watt of Everything But the Girl...

...back to the West End...

A quick look in Fopp and then to BaBA...

Lunch today with chum Luke...

Venison Carpachio...

...plus small haggis based cubes and an octopus/seafood skewer for starters...

A sausage...

...and mackeral for mains..

...with a cabbage and onion side...

...in nice surroundings...

...with good chat and a couple of pints of lager each...

Not quite up to Fazenda but good nonetheless...

While there, calls from mum on her burner - couldn't hear me very well - and from Arnold Clark - the car needs to stay in overnight...

A walk back to the office...

...followed by the bus home...

Anne sent this pic earlier - my recently ordered original pressing of Mott the Hoople's "All the Young Dudes" had arrived...

Within a minute, there was a jump..

Between the tracks, there was sizzling...

But it's having the thing...

That's vinyl, in this digital age...

Ripping and listening to today's acquisitions...

Four ore "London Kills" tonight...

And ejecting a spider from the kitchen...

After researching though, this will be the last one I put outside - it's too cold for house spiders and they mostly will die outside...

I can, however, put them in the garage...

Highlight of the Day : Out and about and lunch with Luke...
