Started the day as I finished yesterday, in 2014...
Downloaded a Yes concert from 1973 - only the 3rd performance of the full "Tales From Topographic Oceans" in November 1973 - pre its release...
This spurred me on to slightly amend my "suite" of "Tales" - slightly elongated...
Sent both of these to Dr Prog...
Breakfast...
Then, Anne was off to Inverurie with Jane, her mum and her Uncle Bob for the funeral of her Auntie nan - a lovely lady and Anne's mum's last surviving (of three) sister...
More work on "Tales"...
Then, wrote a new song around a track Edward Spark sent to me - his remix of Scottish rapper MOG's "Bye Bye Butterfly"...
My lyric questions his rose tinted view of the past and is called "Subject to Decay" - one for the podcast at the weekend...
Lunch was a fish/pasta dish involving, possibly, too many peas, post a frozen peas tumbling out of the packet and going all over the floor incident...
As ever, creme fraiche saved the day...
Yum...
The new LP from Lanterns of the Lake (discovered a couple of Fridays ago in Stockbridge) was downloaded...
Then, to creating this years "Disquietmusik", the 7th in the series...
Six ten minute or so tracks created in E, A, D, G, B and E once again...
Treatment and extra version creation (backwards, 16RPM and 16RPM backwards) followed...
Then, to the art book and the random number generator re the track titles...
...and, here, the new material's place in the big Disquietmusik scheme of things, as regards lengths of all of the pieces...
Good work...
Playback ensued and satisfaction was felt...
Listened back the MOG/Spark based track and, again, satisfied with today's work...
Anne arrived home after a six hour drive for Jane for a round an hour or two's attendance at proceedings...
Uncle Bob spoke for the entire 6 hours of journeying apparently...
Tea was eggs on toast following the big lunch above///
Three episodes of "London Kills" enjoyed...
as was this new comp suggested by Mr Spark...
To bed with "Disquietmusik VIII" in my ears...
A productive day...
Highlight of the Day : Disquiet creation...
