This evening, round to Dr Prog’s to pick him up and drive us both into town for The John Fleming Quartet at The Jazz Bar....
We arrived at the suggested door-time of 8:30 and enjoyed a couple of drinks...
Two cracking sets of extended workouts ensued, the second featuring a guest alto sax player, providing a superb quintet sound for a couple of the numbers...
Sustained by coffee (beer for the doc) we were able to make it to midnight unscathed before heading home with top jazz ringing in our ears...
