Ended up going to Shandwick Place and, with time to kill, picked this up in the BHF...
A bus back to Haymarket, with still some time to kill, this picked up in another BHF...
To La Casa to meet up with Raymondo and Yuill - Bernie couldn't make it...
Good food...

Almost nothing drunk, as there were places to be and things to be done...

By 2:30, I was on my way home, for some ripping and listening...
Tonight...
...Scotland v Denmark in the World Cup qualifiers...
Scotland needed to win to go through without a play off...
Denmark only needed the draw...
The game will be forever remembered in Scottish Football Folklore...
3 mins in, a superb bicycle kick from McTominay put us ahead...
The Danes were the better side but the Scots were holding them off successfully until, with the help of VAR, the referee adjudged an infringement, which took place just outside the box, to be a penalty...
1-1...
A second yellow for continuous fouling reduced the Danes to 10 and, shortly after, a corner from Ferguson, which might well have been heading straight for the net, was deftly tapped in by sub, and Hearts' own, Shankland...
2-1 - could we hang on...
Three shots in 73 minutes and two goals - not bad...
But, no, we couldn't...
Within 3 minutes another leveller...
Looked like another glorious failure on the cards...
Then, in the 93rd minute, a superb strike from outside the box by Kieran Tierney hit the back of the net - surely we could hold on for 3 more minutes?
Yep - but the clock seemed never to be going to stop...
On 98 minutes (of a proposed 95), sub Kenny McLean won the ball 10 yards inside his own half and moved forward...
He noticed Schmeichel well off his line and went for it from a yard inside the Scotland half - it sailed over the hapless goalie...
Oh my word, 4-2 for Scotland...
Unbelievable...
Back in the big time after 27 years, 28 by the time the tournament starts next year...
What a game....
We were rubbish - I think we had about 6 shots, if that...
But four of them went in...
That's football...
