Comeback city...

Playlist

Ah, Saturday...

The machines awaited...

Spot the differences?

No?

OK

Tomorrow, hopefully, this scene will be transformed...

...and, in a week or so, all this will leave for downstairs again, leaving just the normal junk in the back room...

Spent the first part of the morning working on a suite for Whitby next month, incorporating the final 13 minutes form the Live Suites created in 2023, 2024 and earlier this year...

Reasonable...

Out and along to visit Mary...

There was a biscuit conundrum...

...and a visit from Flossie the dog - who visits her owner regularly since she had to move in to the home...

Post visit, Anne headed home and I popped into town...

...to meet up with Count Brodski and Dr Prog at the cathedral...

..for a guitar recital by The Walker Ensemble, playing works by Brandon Walker, who leads the trio...

...with Kieran McCrossan and...

Keith Murray (who played a solo medley of pieces from Bernstein's "West Side Story", ironically, the best known but, actually, weakest of the works played)...

An unpictured Lynn Strang, on flute, joined McCrossan for one piece - there was, in fact only one trio work played...

Very enjoyable...

The two other musketeers...

Alan and I bade farewell to the Doc, who was off for an afternoon of jazz at the Jazz Bar...

We walked along to Tynecastle and enjoyed pudding suppers for lunch (sweet chili haggis for me, white pudding for Brodski)...

And in...

And off they went...

1-0 for Motherwell at half time and Hearts were booed off - but worse was to come - another goal just after half time and then, with 28 minutes to go, they walked a third into the net...

Oh dear...

However, there then followed a quite extraordinary fight back from the JTs, with three goals (the second given by VAR after having been wrongly ruled offside) at nine minute intervals, taking them level with just 7 minutes (and 5 of added time) to go...

They very nearly won and might have gotten a further two goals - one being saved onto the post...

They were not booed off at full time...

...even though this was a game, most Hearts fans would probably have expected to win...

But, having been 0-3 down, 3-3 was an acceptable outcome...

We parted on the terrace and I made my way round to meet up with Anne and chum Diane, there in Jane's place (Brodski and I were in Bob and Olly's seats, Jane and Bob in Spain, Olly in Prague)...

I forgot to say, I popped into Fopp pre the meet at the cathedral...

Today’s acquisitions were 2 LPs I’ve loved since first purchasing them back in 1972...

...these the 2017 remasters, each with a full disc of previously unreleased mixes of the songs, plus other material recorded at the sessions back in ‘72. These are my third CD issues of each…

Gotta love the Mighty Heep!

Also arriving today, 500 of these protective sleeves for my Digipaks...

So far, while listening to Heep, seven boxes of discs attended to...

A "Cold Case" pre bed...

Enjoyable day...
