At 3:30, out to Murrayfield for an Ice Hockey match, Edinburgh Capitals v Paisley Pirates...
The Zamboni was sorting out the ice...
Out came Paisley...
Out came Edinburgh...
A minute's silence for an ex-Edinburgh player who passed recently, at just 45...
Bully off, or whatever it's called...
Less than 3 minutes in, 1-0 to Edinburgh...
The sin bin saw some early action too...
1-0 at the end of the first of three 20 minute periods (with 15 minute breaks between them)...
Out for Period 2...
This time, it took just over 15 minutes for Edinburgh to make it 2-0...
...where it remained at the end of the 2nd period...
Drinks were secured...
At the start of period 3 it was Paisley's turn to score within 3 minutes of the start...
...but, fewer than 30 seconds later, Edinburgh pulled away again...
It stayed at 3-1 for a good while...
...a while which included goalmouth incidents...
..and a standup (and fall down) fight in Edinburgh's goal...
Sin bin required again...
With just under 3 minutes to go, Edinburgh scored a 4th...
...then, a fifth with 1:40 left of the clock...
...and...
...a sixth, with 14 seconds to go...
Paisley's keeper was rather annoyed and tried to destroy his goal...
A very good way to spend a late Sunday afternoon (watching ice hockey, not trying to destroy your goal after letting three in in quick succession)...
All over...
Full time 6-1...
Home and fish n chips for tea - with the highlights of a dreary 0-0 between The Rangers (2012) and Glasgow Celtic...
A "Cold Case" and two episodes of "Friday Night Dinner", taking us into series 3 already...
Then, dishes and downloading...
...and music listening re this week's podcast...
End of the weekend once more...
