Finalising one thing and struggling with another...

Playlist

Into week 45 and a day spent on music...

Adding "Precipitation" to the Bandcamp page for release on Friday...

Then, tweaking the four main tracks to make them a little louder...

Then, I've redid Matt's solo track (without changing what's in the main track) and it's sounding much better (to my ears anyway)...

Breakfast of egg and tomato...

Then, advising Ed and Matt of my plan...

I usually put out a covers LP on Record Store Day and so, while I was planning to release my "Swan Songs" LP this Friday, I've now pushed it back to the end of the month as that's the RSD Black Friday thing...

Which leaves me with a space to fill on Friday - so I am looking to upload "Precipitation" to Bandcamp for release on Friday...

Given that the album comprises treatments I've done on one of my guitar pieces, two of Ed's "Kissing Tree" stems and Matt's various 30 second or so recordings posted on Blue Sky, I reverting to an equal billing credit of Cloudland Blue Quartet /Edward Spark/Matt Le Groulx...

The 4LP equivalent set will be "Precipitation" (trio), "Dawn" (Matt), "Flickering Seed" (Ed), Industrial Facades (me)...

The first two versions of "Precipitation" (previously known as "Pareidolia") will be included as bonuses for downloaders...

I put the final versions of the tracks in the Dropbox for them both...

And, here, the revised cover...

Wrote up the notes...

..and credits...

Then, with Anne off out to see her mum and pick up some supplies, I spent some considerable time trying to work out the chords for "Life on Mars?"...

It's a lot simpler than I imagined but one rogue chord still eludes me...

On Anne's return, lunch was German sausages again, finishing them off; and the final episode of "Lupin" gave an unsatisfactory cliff-hanging ending - hopefully it won't be another 4 years till Season 5...

Later, post further mucking about with music, Annewas off to Pilates so I set about compiling and recording the 44th podcast of the year...

This week I limited it to just my 7 new LPs of the day, 7 old LPs of the day and a few CBQ related items...

Quicker...

Done, just as Anne arrived home...

Listening back and then, baked potatoes for tea...

"Mastermind", "Only Connect" and a paltry 115 at "University Challenge"...

Also today, we started Season 2 of "Nobody Wants This", having forgotten all about it after Season 1 and having been alerted to the release of Season 3...

And, before we knew it, we were so tired we had to head to bed...

But not before I had to do more work on the new track...

Sparky sent over a revied version which didn't fit with what I'd sone on Saturday - mainly I think because he made this new one without listening to what I'd done - the video contained two extra bars which have now become an integral part of the song...

All for sorting tomorrow...
