Taking photos of the dining room table and chairs with a view to selling them on the Gumtree...
But noted the table actually looks ok now the floor is darker...
Turns out, Anne was of the same opinion so, for now, a new table is on the back burner but remains an option...
Definitely need new chairs though...
Notes made re "Broken" - all is not lost - what to change in the mix and what to cut re the final LP - the longer versions will be bonuses...
Implemented those changes to finalise the long versions...
Also, after listening late last night and this morning, amending titles on "Elevation" and a slight remix to finalise that too...
Then, Anne was up...
Breakfast and out at 9 to Dunelm (again!) - lightshades returned...
New curtains for the dining room ordered...
We'll see how that goes before shelling out for the living room...
New lamp looked into, literally...
...and purchased, along with a small one...
Present for baby BB, who will be 1 tomorrow, secured at Argos...
To Ikea re chairs...
I noted these for £1 but did not buy...
Probable chairs...
Home via B&Q, where we bought lightshades - these, undamaged...
Put together the new lamp scenario - Luna helped...
..and Annie placed it in its corner - where "my" shelves once graced the walls for over 35 years...
Now, no longer allowed and sent to the tip...
Small lamp also kind of set up - but far too bright...
As is the new lamp/shelf thing - a new bulb is required to tone things down a bit...
Lightshades are fine this time though...

Soup and toast and "Bones"...
Then, Anne off to visit her mum...
Me to creating shorter versions of the "Broken" tracks...
Then, listening back downstairs, while reading my recent book purchase...
...with Luna...
Put a warmer bulb in the small lamp - that worked...
Noted the 49 people on BlueSky with whom I interact most (of my over a thousand followers - the vast majority of whom, I have absolutely no idea why they follow me as they never interact)...
These the "remainers" since the last time I looked at this...

Mastering the 2LPs of "Broken" just before, at 8, Gillian and Olly arrived to take Luna home...
Later, the "Taskmaster" final - with three players in a tie for series champion - Maisie won by guessing closest to the number of "T"s there were in the pic of Greg and Alex in the living room of the house...
Dishes and another "Bones"...
What I achieved today, music-wise...
For "Elevation" - I reduced the synth volume slightly on the track that was "The Car in the Lake"...
I also sorted a further distortion scenario in the track that was "The Apartment"...
But then, with the resurrection of "Broken", I also had to amend the titles (from some of those I used on "Broken"), to ones which reflect the seven pieces from "Broken" actually used in each of the seven pieces in "Evolution"...
So, new titles applied...
Then, re "Broken", I toned down the reverb on the voice and remixed the tracks for, hopefully a better, vox/instruments balance...
Did all of that between getting up at 6 and heading out at 9 on the "errands"...
When I got back, I worked on the shortened versions of the 15 tracks on "Broken", which will be the LP (38.5 mins)...
The original, long, versions will be a bonus LP (63.5 mins), deemed "Extended" versions, when, in fact it's the others that are "Edited" versions...
Finished "mastering" "Broken" (both sets of songs, long and short)...
I didn't bother mastering "Elevation" as it sounded fine...
But we'll see....
All in all, a good day's work, despite having to spend a good chunk of it away from the studio...
