A trip to the coast...

Playlist

Another week began, as we careered towards the end of July (already)...

Some unrecalled work (no doubt) this morning, followed by an egg based breakfast...

At 10, into the car and off we drove to the coast, to meet up with sister Sheila and family, on their caravan site near North Berwick...

Grand niece, Baby BB is getting big and looks a lot like her dad once did...

Meanwhile, grand nephew Harris, who starts school in a couple of weeks, was "painting stones and shells" with neighbour and part time babysitter, Violet...

Beau the Boxer had at least one pink paw re the paint...

BB awoke and Anne had "a shot"...

The wee one had a bit of a cold and wasn't in the best frame of mind...

Harris did his best to entertain...

...as did his mum, Julie...

Rockets ahoy...

That worked...

Wee Harris is definitely a handful...

Funny wee man...

To sister Sheila and Andrew's "van" for lunch, with Maisie the dog who is, in the main, still out of control but Sheila refuses to give up and is persevering - despite how it encroaches on her life, overall...

The dog disallowed her enjoying the company of son Ali and family - he returned from sourcing gas and we all just sat around in the afternoon, chatting with Ali, Julie and the neighbours, while the kids mucked about...

It had been the intention to go down to the beach but we just ran out of time...

All too soon, it was a bye bye to BB...

...while the kids, now including wee Finlay, seemed to be holding Julie in some sort of hostage situation...

An hour's drive home, failing to avoid traffic...

On my return, some measure of burntness was discovered...

Idiot...

As part of Anne's plan for the living room, "The Shelf" is no more (the other shelf is also no more) and CDs and books were today removed upstairs...

Anne to Pilates and me recording and uploading the podcast...

Tasty fish cakes (with ubiquitous beans) for tea...

...and a "Cold Case", 155 on "University Challenge" and two fakes on "Fake or Fortune" before bedtime...

Highlight of the Day : A trip to the coast...
