Rather a large playlist today as I was listening to loads of 1973 singles and tracks from the 29 studio LPs of the "Triumvirate of Fusion", Weather Report, Mahavishnu Orchestra and Return to Forever...
But I was up at 6 so plenty of time to do so...
Word came from Johnny W that he and Dr Prog's brother Paul passed away this morning in Orkney...
Lung cancer had spread throughout his body but he had done well, given that two years ago he was given 3 months to live...
Condolences sent to my old music chum and my trusty drummer...
Even the most expected news can be sad news...

We also watched a not that great but reasonably entertaining French film about time travel and werewolves...
Steal pie and veg for tea
Discovered it's 50 years ago this week sonce the release of Uriah Heep's "Return to Fantasy" LP - it as playing when my O Grade results arrived, don't you know...
So I gave my original CD a play on the SMSL player...
..and then, the remaster, which includes 4 demos with Gary Thain rather than John Wetton on bass...
The liner notes state it was released in November 1975 but how can that be when it hit number 7 in the charts, 50 years ago this week?
Anyhow, off to bed at midnight with Klaus Schulze in the cans...
