Dhoom but not gloom...

Playlist

Up early...

Not taken any pics out the window for a while, so...

Downstairs...

...and adding all the recently collected Festival Listings to the coffee table...

Last day of July...

Another month away...

...and a 30 minute "doing the dishes" session ensued...

Back upstairs and, despite it being due out tomorrow...

...last minute work on "Gould", creating and adding what I now deem to be "necessary ambience"...

"What are we doing today?" was the question from the Exec Producer on her arising...

Yesterday, I'd been thinking we might return to Dhoom in Dunfermline - this morning the EP put forward the self-same idea...

A table was booked for 1pm...

And so, shortly after 10:30 we exited and took a walk down the hill, an airport bus into town and caught the Dunfermline bus at 11:30...

Arrived at 12:320 and took a note of the returning transport...

A quick shifty round the various charity shops, resulted in one £1 purchase...

...then, pre lunch drinks at the Guildhall & Linen Exchange...

...and the new CD was perused...

Played on Mozart's own piano, in the room where he was born...

Along to Dhoom...

Today, we enjoyed the Punjab Taster Menu...

Crispy spiced potato...

Sweet potato and tapioca doughnut...

Rice and black lentil arancini...

Crispy chicken in a hot chili garlic sauce...

Mince lamb kebabs...

Coconut ladoos...

...and our mains...

Chicken Masala Desi for Anne...

...and what could have been a mistake by me but turned out to be v tasty indeed, Chicken Makhani Macaroni - macaroni in a butter chicken sauce with, of course, said butter chicken...

And the added bonus of chips (but, of course lacking in rice or bread)...

Post this, a constitutional along to Pittencrief Park...

...where ice creams were enjoyed...

...and greenery was admired...

..as the rain attempted an encroachment on the day, we made our way back to the bus station...

...and back on the bus just before three...

All in all, another 1.5 hour journey...

...took us home, where the new Mozart was enjoyed...

This evening, another "The Assassin" - it's starting to be not quite so good - loadsa plot holes and opportunities to pick...

But we will stay with it...

Also, old episodes of "Armstrong & Miller" - still quite topical despite being over 25 years old...

Later, back upstairs for some listening and surfing...

Bed at midnight...

Highlight of the Day : Lunch at Dhoom...

Saving made little difference...

Playlist

Up just before 6...

No idea what this is...

With Anne off to Zumba, I did some more moving of stuff around...

...including consolidating the hi fi situation in the back room with a piece of  the record racks from Reptile Records (1991-1998)...

Then, I played a record...

I do like these Blue Note 2LP session sets from the 70's...

...followed by a CD - someone on BlueSky was extolling the virtues of Martinu - bought this in Prague in 2000...

Post lunch and a "Cold Case", I fell asleep, as Anne left to visit the dentist and her mum...

Eventually shook myself awake and went back upstairs to listen to a CD-R, while dipping into the book upon which it's based...

...and followed that with another Eno CD-R...

Called in as a last minute sub for the football, I left around 6:30 as Anne was doing some work in the back garden...

This was my soundtrack...

I played in goal and, despite saving around 12 certain goals...

...we still lost 13-4...

It was still enjoyable though...

Home for an unpictured prawn, broccoli and nduja pasta...

Tonight, we started watching "The Assassin" - first two episodes were promising...

New music today was, in the main, stuff mentioned to me on Blue Sky...

To bed before midnight...

Highlight of the Day : Football...
