Up early and uploading the podcast...

Then, out to Helen the podiatrist for some podiatristing...

The views from nearby...

Back home and continuing to listen to the Berlin purchases, while working on the entries here for the trip...

Anne was out shopping...

A call from chum Yuill...

Dreadful, dreadful news - our friend and associate of almost 20 years, Keith Lodge had been found dead this morning, apparently following having fallen down some steps into a basement near his home...

Anne texted to say she'd met Count Brodski's former partner Julie and they were enjoying a coffee - I said I'd see her when she got in and to pass on my love...

Then, I sat, numb...

When Anne got home, having to say what had happened broke me down...

Just unbelievable...

The rest of the day was spent in a bit of a daze really...

Listened to the recently purchased Gavin Bryars collection, which was entirely appropriate, as it turned out to be 2CDs of sombreness...

I threw myself into setting up my equipment from the attic...

...and tried to do something but failed miserably...

Throughout the afternoon, Anne worked on a lovely curry which was ready just as "Strictly" started...

Home-made chapatis too...

The chef relaxing post enjoying her handiwork...

In the late evening, some Mozart...

A horrible day really...

Today's artwork, "Setting Up the Machines Did Not Console"...
