Down the front is sometimes the best place to be...

Alphaville - Forever Young

After last night's shenanigans with Dr Prog, tonight, with Anne off to see "the best ballet I've ever seen" the Northern Ballet's "Casanova" with chums Debbie and Teresa, I met up with Creeker and Jinglemeister Stu Cobley for the second time in a week...

Here, at the Mosque Kitchen for tea, he showed me how he listens to the CBQ podcasts...

An old man struggled to understand the concept...

On to Potterrow, for a long wait outside in the freezing cold...

...and another long wait inside - technical problems being the reason advised...

Finally in...

...and right down the front, as they say...

Pair of tubes...

Support act, Amber Arcades from Holland were "no bad"...

Then, the switcheroo...

...to tonight's headliners...

More delays as faulty leads on the bass and keyboards were identified and changed - anticipation mounted...

This, one the offending items...

Finally, probably around 90 mins late, we were all set...

A great performance from the five men of a certain age...

I was bouyed by the fact that the bass player played bass as I do - remaining on the root notes and no fancy runs...

The drummer was approximately 100 years old...

An hour and a half or so of top notch musicking - very enjoyable indeed opined your two idiots down the front...

With Anne having taken the car due to our late finish, Stu gave me a lift home...

Earlier in the day, I'd visited the shops at Tollcross and partaken of these three items for just two of your English pounds...

...while this was randomly generated from the pile of freebies...

"This Week" finished off an excellent day...

Highlight of the Day : Grandaddy...
