Up just after six and, very disciplined, writing this...
...before getting to work on a further mix of "Dark", toning down the Kubrick element, having thought about the work done yesterday...
Meanwhile, views...
Continued working while Anne was away at a supplier re the project for the new version of the ground floor...
"Final" mix done...
Then, to recording and uploading the podcast...
Done, dusted...
Anne returned...
She'd been going to accompany me into town for today's cathedral recital but Dr Prog advised he'd be along to provide company, so Anne decided to relax at home...
Out and down the hill, the new podcast soundtracking...
Soon back at the cathedral...
...and met up with the progster...
Today, a violin and piano recital...
...from 19 year old India Reilly and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland lecturer, Anna Michels...
The programme comprised pieces by Lili Boulanger (Nocturne and Cortege), Marie Dare (Serenade and Dragonfly - an unrecorded piece played from the original manuscript), Cecile Chaminade (Cappricio), J S Bach (Partita for Solo Violin No 3) and Cesar Franck (Sonta in A Major)...
A "set" based around, in the main, "Paris" and the fact that, while Scot, Marie Dare, studied and lived in Paris, before moving back to Edinburgh...
Another top performance in this magnificent space...
A tasty wee pizza each for lunch in the grounds of the cathedral, some good chat...
...including the full story of the incident last Friday re Dr Prog's brother, drummer Johnny (which, following a couple of stays in hospital, has now been resolved as viral, treatable and being treated and not long term and he is now back home, recovering)...
Headed home in the 80 plus degree heat...
Lovely banana cake from neighbour Bianca, swapped for some milk apparently...
Around five, post a "Cold Case", to moving all the stuff re the ground floor project, which recommences on Thursday...
...followed by a tasty tea and another "Cold Case" - into season 2...
...and then, listening back to the supposed "Final" mix of "Dark"...
Of course, this required some very final tweaks and edits and, by close of play, was ready to go up on Bandcamp - although it won't be released till next July...
Bed at 11:30...
Highlight of the Day : A meet with Dr Prog and clearing furniture...
