An e-mail led to the purchase of tickets for Edinburgh Capitals v Paisley Pirates tomorrow afternoon at Murrayfield Ice Rink...

Looking back at today over the last 20 years...

Coincidentally, on this day in 2008, we drove from Jasper to Prince George...

...where we saw two Ice Hockey matches in 2 days, Prince George Spruce Kings v Quesnel...

Back then, it was hard to upload pics to the diary and the 2008 Canadian trip was illustrated with just a few collages, despite the hundreds of pictures taken...

So, today, I added all the pics for the entries for 30 and 32 August 2008 re our time in Prince George...

Also, 3 years ago today, I was putting the finishing touches to "387" - an LP involving number stations and my trusty, now, 45 year old, then 42 year old, Yamaha CS5 Synthesiser...

I gave it a spin...

Not bad...

And, a year ago today, performing in Fopp...

Good times...

A success hopefully to be repeated in Whitby in just under three weeks' time...

At 1, Blair arrived to redo the floor re some unnaturally stripey planks that had made their way into proceedings and now had to be removed...

A long, laborious job, undertaken with top skill from our step nephew in law...

A squirrel was in attendance...

Kind of...

Just under 3 hours all told with Anne and I helping as best we could...

Then, on his departure, we put the dining room table back up, brought down the chairs, reset up the TV, brought the rug back, re constructed the coffee table...

All the time, keeping an eye on the footie...

Both Queens and Hearts scored late to win 2-1 and both, tonight, are top of their respective leagues - a rare occurrence indeed...

A celebratory Chinese ordered and collected...

Chicken Chow Mein for your fat correspondent...

 ...and 3 episodes of "Friday Night Dinner" watched, pre the highlights of the Hearts game (as well as Motherwell v Kilmarnock 2-2)...

I discovered I have an accidental Mohican...

Then, some more music listening, more Black Sabbath - their final studio LP, "13" from 2013...

And Lou Reed's excellent 1978 live LP, "Take No Prisoners" plus the Velvets' final LP (sans Lou), "Squeeze" - much better than everyone says, as they conveniently forget what a pivotal part in the band Doug Yule played...

Downstairs for more telly last thing - 3 episodes of Season 3 of "Upload" because, when we went to watch the brand new episodes of Season 4, we realised we'd given up on it at episode 1 of Season 3 for some reason (possibly becasue it's a pile o' shite?)...

And so, at close of play, downstairs almost back to normal...
