Rehearsing the live suite this morning and it worked out not too badly - yesterday's first (and unmentioned) rehearsal went to pieces towards the end as I'd created one of the elements incorrectly, which threw everything else around it off...
Post breakfast, we loaded the car with unused flooring - for some reason 24 boxes were delivered when we only needed around 10 or 11...
Down to Howdens...
Then, a further drive to another branch to pick up the wee things that go at the foot of all the radiator pipes...
Anne dropped me in Leith around 12...
...and, post a lunch from Tesco, a tram to the Cathedral - accompanied part of the way by chance met Keith and Maureen, heading to Broughton St for lunch...
So, with Jane in Spain and Keith lunching, it fell to Anne to attend the six monthly assessment of her mum at the home...
It went fine apparently...
Alighted the tram with five minutes till showtime...
...and walked to the Cathedral...
...for today's recital by...
...Karolina Kubalkova, Canadian of Czech descent...
A fine programme of Mozart and Beethoven sonatas, followed by pieces by Beach, Mendelssohn, Edward MacDowell (including a poem) and finishing off with two Etudes by Phillip Glass...
People hung around to chat to the talented young lady...

Down to Canonmills and, once again, a bumper haul of, mostly, new to me music...
The shop next door might be worth a visit on a Friday...
Home around 4:30...
