So, so many things annoy me...

Writing this up and listening back to this week's podcast from 2016...

My view? The programmes have always been good, music-wise and my presentation has improved across the years...

The number of listens I get is hugely frustrating...

Last week though, I got around 5 times the usual - it seems purely because someone called LowLightMixes listened in and many of his followers decided to do so too...

Will they come back this week?

Will they f*ck...

A 21 CD set of Baryton Trios by Haydn foolishly downloaded after seeing Dancing Monk listening to them on Blue Sky...

Idiot - me not him...

Anyway...

Eggs and toast for breakfast - Anne tried a new way of poaching an egg - in clingfilm - I'd predicted it would stick to the clingfilm...

The outcome was quite good but there was an element of the egg sticking to the clingfilm...

This morning, 3 CDs ordered 2 days ago arrived...

There was a story...

I'd been perusing my Amazon orders and noted one show as "probably lost" so I'd had a look for it (a CD) and couldn't find it - it was in my Apple Music but noted as being a download - so I put in a claim for a refund, only to have it proven to me that it had indeed been delivered...

Another search and I found it on the living room shelf - I apologised - and then bought another 3 CDs - £3 or £4 each with free delivery...

Great service from The Readerz3 Warehouse - they came with a hand written note - now that's service...

Here's what I got...

Lunch, featuring tasty home made soup - and a 2 hour "Karen Pirie"...

Some work on our finances in the afternoon...

Then, listened to the new CDs in the back room, where, today, I also experimented with swapping the books to the CD Box sets shelves and vice versa but abandoned it......

All very good, in their own way...

Other new stuff coming in today comprised 8 titles from Prog Rock Willie - loadsa Rush bootlegs and a few other items, a trio of recommendations from Bandcamp plus some nice jazz things recommended by internet chum Tom Hall, in his latest weekly newsletter...

I am reasonably easily influenced ...

Anne's hair product was also delivered - but without so much as a knock at the door, so was found 30 minutes later...

...pre a fish'n'chips kind of tea...

Queens were away at Partick Thistle - Olly was there - pretending to support Thistle...

Lost two goals in 2 minutes, midway through the first half and never recovered - Olly advised they played well in the second half - a 0-0 draw I opined, was good against a team from the league above...

Meanwhile...

This evening England were playing Italy in the women's Euros...

To be fair, it's comedy football really...

I decided to watch 2 episodes of "Travelers", upstairs on the laptop, while Anne watched the game - but I was keeping an eye on the score (and that at Partick) via my phone...

Italy went ahead after half an hour and held out for the entire game - I was watching the seconds tick down to the end of the usual media circus (nothing against the players) and then, almost inevitably, with just 1 minute of injury time remaining, England equalised...

So annoying...

Then, of course, in extra time, a penalty with 1 minute to go...

Saved by the keeper...

...but scored on the rebound...

So annoying...

So, you know, come on Spain or Germany...

A "Cold Case" before bed at midnight...
