End of almost 40 year era...

Playlist

Up and writing this and downloading some music by acts we might see in Antwerp next month...

At 10, out and over to Mortonhall for neighbour Pietro's funeral...

A lovely Humanist send off, with great stories...

Best one - when he was a child in Italy, he used to blow stuff up with sticks of dynamite!

Post service gathering at Merchants Golf Club and a chance to catch up with kids Bianca, Gabriella, Pietro Jnr, all of whom we've known for 38 years, and Fabio, all his life, since we moved in next door to Pietro and Fiona, who died last August...

End of an era indeed...

Home around 2:30, Capital Modles' "Minimal" having soundtracked the drive both there and back and having received a thumbs up from the Exec Producer...

This afternoon, created a playlist of music by all the acts we will have  the chance to see in Antwerp...

An enjoyable afternoon soundtrack...

Also, separated out all the reggae comps from the main body - and may do the same with funk & soul...

This is  how I waste my time...

Happy birthday today to Jim Park, seen here drumming with Capital Models three years ago today...

Our original drummer also now, officially, an OAP...

Strange times...

Tonight, with Anne off out seeing Hearts win 2-1 against bottom of the table St Johnstone, I took a walk down the hill, with headphones on, listening back to Saturday's session with the band...

Chatting to Keith yesterday in Fopp, we'd discussed maybe dropping quite a few songs for 24/5 which "the crowd might not like"...

I was in agreement - until this listen back again tonight of the three sets and, now, I think we just leave as is...

No matter how well or badly we play we're not playing another Saturday night at the Dockers, so I think we play for us and, if anything connects with the Dockers regulars, that's a bonus...

Hopefully a few of our "followers" will show up and get dancing at some point!

A bus back up...

And Anne was home just after 10...

Highlights watched of almost all the games then, off to bed at midnight...

Highlight of the Day : A lovely send off...
