Up pre 6 and dismantling the set up I'd been using to rehearse for today...

Cat fed...
Coffee...
Then, to compiling my "history of the single" for 2021 and 2022 (see most of the playlist above)...
24 tracks, which necessitated some element of downloading new stuff...
Modus Operandi is to trawl through each week's singles chart and check all new entries to see if they might be my "single of the month"...
Laborious but, ultimately, fun...
Getting equipment together for the rehearsal...
Diary writing...
Breakfast...
Luna was coveting my salmon...
...and received a small piece...
Car packed and off out to Roslin at 10, for our first rehearsal for almost 3 months...
It went well - 20 songs played, each of us having selected 6 and doublers keeping the tally to 20...
1 hr and 55 minutes of playing, breakdowns, chat etc...
Then coffee, biscuits and more band chat, about what exactly we're doing...
Nothing new on the agenda really, other than a vague suggestion from me that we might act as someone else's backing band if conditions were right...
Possible things were...
More gigs...
Monthly charity gigs, organised by us, possibly with other bands, at the back room at the Dockers - with anything collected above the £50 hire fee to go to charity...
Writing new material...
Researching new covers we might want to do - it struck me my "history of the single from 1959-2025" might yield some possibilities...
Etc etc...
Home...
Editing - 1 hr 13 mins of music...
Out to the chaps for listening back...
Tea time...
We awaited the arrival of nephew Ali...
...and arrive he did...
Here he is...
His task was to remove a radiator from each of the living and dining rooms...
...which he did with aplomb...
Then, telly till the end of the night...
The radiators were added to the clutter in the back room...
C'est la decorating vie...
Lights out on the weekend...
