The 35th anniversary of "The Sweet Thrill of Industry" started and ended with a couple of results of the ongoing downloading of Tangerine Dream concerts...

Meanwhile, the sky was good...

To HMV, where Panufnik...

..Rozsa...

...and Rzewski were considered...

...but not partaken of...

The sky remained good...

In the evening, a nice tea with the Exec Producer at Quattro Zero...

I must not have haggis pizza again...

This on the way to the Queen's Hall...

...for the third of four string quartet recitals...

Having seen the Emersons and the Belcea already in this series, tonight it was Quatuor Ebene, featuring their brand new violist...

They opened with Haydn's Emperor Quartet - very tuneful, including what became the German National Anthem...

Then some very complex and not enjoyed by the EP work from Dutilleux...

A cheeky wee Sugar Free Irn Bru at half time...

...before the evening was rounded off with one of only three Brahms quartets - he destroyed a further 20 without a trace for being not quite up to his take on the elusive "scratch"...

A wee outro from one of the four attractive young Frenchmen and an encore of "In Dulce Jubilo" with a beautiful arrangement by J S Bach...

Home to find this behind the door...

...which was enjoyed before bedtime...

A good day...

Highlight of the Day : String Quartet recital...
