Just above this stretch of pavement this morning, your correspondent was witnessed flying...


Albeit very temporarily, before crashing to the ground on his back and cracking his head off the pavement...

Owya...

A bit sore but I'll survive...

In the evening, after a tasty a prawn and chorizo linguini dish from the Exec Producer, out into the cold to the Queens Hall for some string quartetting...


... from the Belcea Quartet...


They opened with Beethoven, followed by a new piece by Turnage (which the EP advised was not bad and nowhere near as bad as she'd anticipated) and ended with Mozart's sublime final quartet...





Then, back for a cheeky wee encore of the Cavatina from Herr van Beethoven's controversial String Quartet Op 130...


Humbling abilities on display putting "Sweet Caroline" into perspective...

And I remained awake througout...

Home for some late night TV then bed...
