Outside our window, it was autumn...

...but in the nearby Moreish Deli, it is always summer...

Lovely coffee...

...good surroundings...

...and very tasty banana bread with Greek yogurt for me and cherry toast for the Exec Producer...

A walk to King's Cross past St Pancras...

...and the Tube to Pimlico, from where it was a short walk to Tate Britain...

We had never been here before and it was most enjoyable...

In the interests of brevity, i will let the pics speak for themselves - suffice to say we took the pre-prepared tour around the periphery of the gallery, which allowed us to walk through five hundred years of British art...

What a prankster that Mr CBQ is...

Only in an art gallery would you see two women intently watching a TV showing a man jumping up and down in an ill-fitting gorilla suit - or maybe not...

The comments board for the 2014 Turner Prize...

And, I believe, this gallery held the work of one of the finalists...

Ahem...

That's one very large toilet roll...

Last day of the holiday syndrome started to kick in as we left the Tate and walked along the river bank to the Houses of Parliament..

...and on to Trafalgar Square and Charing Cross station...

...then up to Leicester Square...

...and the Tube to Euston - just as well the EP was here, or I would have been looking for the train at King's Cross...

A long tiresome wait for the platform to be announced...

No doubt to save a few quid which were subsequently squandered on CDs I will probably only listen to once, we were returning via the West Coast line, which takes around an hour longer than the East Coast line and stopped at around 14 stations on the way...

Finally home around 8:45 and the ripping and listening began while Anne caught up with "Corrie" post tonight's "Downton"...

On the train some texting re the upcoming Capital Models gig took place and our new line up was confirmed as nephew Andy on keyboards, drummer Keith moving to bass, original CM member Jim Park returning to the fold to retake the drum stool after 34 years away and Mr CBQ moving from bass to guitar...

So three of the four of us will be learning or relearning the entire repertoire...

Bodes well...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Tate Britain...
