Spaghetti or band, spaghetti or band...

Playlist
Schubert - Trout Quintet
Capital Models - Rehearsal Tapes
Various - Crucial Music

Breakfast at home, posted up the crucial music playlist, then prepping for today's rehearsal...

Anne and I drove to Jim's to pick him up - best if he doesn't drive given his pain medication - his gait suggests a rather sore leg indeed...

But he soldiered on this afternoon putting in a sterling performance at the drumkit...

Given this was Keith's first session on bass and that he'd only had time to practice a handful of the songs; and given it was my first session as guitarist; and given Jim had come armed only with ideas, having been unable to rehearse, it all went pretty well and was a good start to the drive to November 29...

Over the course of the session, which lasted around four hours, we were playing, or discussing matters, for around two and a half hours, with 100 minutes of songs salvaged from the tapes - which will never see the light of day...

In all we managed to play through 28 of the 35 songs on the current setlists, before legs and shoulders started to give way - pretty good going considering all three of us were starting afresh...

Anne picked me and Jim up and we took him home - his leg looked even worse after spending the afternoon drumming...

Back home, a very tasty prawn and chorizo spaghetti was made by Anne and much enjoyed, before I spent some time editing the tapes down and giving them a listen...

Good to be in a group again...

Highlight of the Day : A dead heat between playing in the band and Anne's spaghetti...
