Around 11, post breakfast at Crispycat, out over to Damhead and a walk into the Pentlands...

Anne often walks here with chum Teresa and her wee dog, Mac...

Not to bring you down but, wherever you go, there is always this...

The chickens didn't seem to care...

A picturesque settlement of what are now, probably, holiday cottages...

The real beasts were about their business...

Good views over old Edinburgh town...

The cathedral on maximum zoom...

Farther up the hill...

..and back down again...

We will return...

In search of coffee...

At one, to my mum's and we took her out to a new place, the Secret Herb Garden at Damhead...

Lunch comprised cake - pear, ginger and honey for me, carrot cake for mum and Victoria sponge for the Exec Producer...

inside I found an old Ladybird Book "The Story of Football" which I ued to own as a child - £5 for a 15p book was  little steep....

Some wee chickens wandered amongst the attendees...

The environs were adjudge to be good and we will return...

From mum's to Anne's mum's, where her latest painting was on display...

...as we enjoyed a tasty chicken based tea - which we did not really connect to the nice wee beasties we'd seen earlier...

Home around 8 and some more work on the uploads before enjoying Rich Hall's very interesting and entertaining 90 minute take in the history of California...

Highlight of the Day : New walks, new places...
