Compiling leisurely...

Playlist
Yes - Epic 1969-2014 (4CD)
Gentle Giant - Epic 1970-1980
King Crimson - Epic 1969-2014 (2CD)
Allan Holdsworth - Epic 1976-2001 (2CD)

Much improvement on the foot this morning - much of which was spent compiling, as is my wont...

The improvement was such that driving was on the agenda - in fact probably better to drive than, at this juncture, walk any considerable distance, for example from Crispycat Towers to the nearest bus stop from which we might be conveyed to Leith...

Accordingly, we drove to Anne's mum's to pick her up and then through the town to Leith, soundtracked by much complicated music from Yes - which I'm sure Anne's mum enjoyed...

With Jane, Bobby and the kids on holiday, Anne and I, Keith and Maureen and Anne's mum's had come to the Shore Bar for lunch and some jazz on what was to be a leisurely afternoon...

Scallops for the Exec Producer...

Whitebait for Mr CBQ...

My unpictured main was a small piece of hake with lovely potatoes, green beans and a hollandaise sauce...

Fruit for dessert - ok with a smidgeon of ice cream - my sparkling mineral water can be seen in the background - another benefit of driving...

The coffee was excellent...

As was the chat...

Home through a hailstorm...

..to a watered garden...

Back home and more compiling - after a mammoth Yes session this morning, Gentle Giant, King Crimson and Allan Holdsworth were tackled this evening - the rule was : full studio discography; longest track from each album...

My very much missed old chum Mr Frain would probably not have approved of such tuneless nonsense...

But Crimso/Yes/Giant/Holdsworth beat your popular music hands down (IMHO of course)...

During the afternoon, Keith had advised The Bad Plus are playing at the Edinburgh Jazz Festival later this month - a ticket has been secured - I am at a table stage front - I am hoping my fellow table attendees will have respect for the music...

The evening was spent listening to today's compilations, reading about the history of abstract art, watching three episodes from series one of "Gary Tank Commander" and working on notes re the "Twenty Four Paintings" project...

Weekend over...

Highlight of the Day : A leisurely afternoon...

On a good day I could eat maybe 4 bits of whitebait but not a plateful. I salute your efforts there. Pretty good pics as usual.

On balance, probably too many whitebait and too little hake...
