This morning, ripping and listening to yesterday's purchases...

The EDM collection, like most dance music collections I purchase, was a little disappointing...

Perhaps in a club at 3AM being played at almost unbearable volume might be a better situation to appreciate...

Later on, "Monsieur Hire", purchased yesterday, was watched and very much enjoyed...

75 minutes of succinct story-telling...

To mum's for lunch, where we were joined by sister Sheila for coffee and chat...

On the way home, mid afternoon, we stopped off at Konditorei Falko...

These were purchased...

Like "Monsieur Hire", very much enjoyed...

They were not Meg the Black Cat's up of tea...

In the evening, a superb casserole from the Exec Producer followed a 100 minute episode of "Montalbano"...

Ended the day with episode three of "The White Queen" - sticking with it...

To bed around midnight...

Half the year away...

Highlight of the day : Coffee and cake...

Up around seven and compiling another MP3 CD for the car re today's trip to Glasgow...

Arrived around 10:30 and by quarter to eleven we were in Avenue G on Byre's Road for breakfast...

I went a bit off-piste and chose a bacon and maple syrup waffle...

Very tasty...

A look round the shops here resulted in inevitable purchases from Fopp...

The box of the first series of "Heimat", three french films and CDs by Donovan and Bill Frisell..

Onto the Clockwork Orange to the city centre...

...where we split to shop for things each of us likes...

I headed to Monorail at the East end and found the debut by Canadian punk faves Alexisonfire 2nd hand for three squids...

Was also looking for a new jacket but to no avail...

Drawn to the main Fopp, I picked up the fifth DAF album, "Fur Immer" along with a three disc selection of EDM...

Meeting up with Anne, I found she had a few bags of things she likes...

Back to Hillhead on the subway and to the car to dump the bags...

Scenes from near our parking place...

Then, a walk to the Kelvingrove Museum...

..and a look round...

...followed by the inevitable coffee and cake...

More looking around...

..including their most famous exhibit...

What a japester Snr Dali was...

In a case outside the room where the painting hangs, were some artefacts from previous Dali exhibitions here....

In 1974, I visited the gallery for the exhibition "Dali : His Art in Jewels"...

On to the other works...

Annie enjoyed the colourists...

These from a prisoner of war camp in what is now Somalia...

We were chucked out at five...

..and headed back to Ashton Lane, past the University...

..with views through the woodland of from where we'd come...

A drink at Brel...

..and along to Ashoka...

...for a very tasty curry...

And then home...

A call to my mum re today being the tenth anniversary of old Dad Reilly's passing...

"We just have to get on with it" she opined...

Then, to listen to today's acquisitions...

Another good day...
